Indore Mob Attack: In a shocking incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a violent attack took place late at night on May 25th. A group of approximately 25 to 30 Muslim youths targeted a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl who was returning from dinner together at a hotel in the Tukoganj area. The police have reported that when some Hindu youths came to their rescue, the mob turned their aggression towards them, wielding knives as weapons.

This distressing event unfolded shortly after pamphlets were distributed among Muslim girls in Indore, cautioning them about an alleged ‘Bhagwa love trap’ orchestrated by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Bajrang Dal. Authorities have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and are actively investigating the incident.
Indore Mob Attack: Chief Minister Takes Action as FIR Registered Against 50 People in Communal Violence
Expressing grave concern over the incident, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured the public that strict action will be taken against all those involved in such hooliganism. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has taken immediate cognizance of the incident and a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against a total of 50 people. The Chief Minister firmly stated that such acts of violence will not be tolerated and directed the local police officials in Indore to handle the situation with utmost seriousness.
According to the police report, the victims of the attack were Bhavesh Sunhare and Nasreen Sultana, both third-year MBBS students. They had enjoyed dinner at Madni Hotel in the Tukoganj area and were heading back when they were confronted by a group of Muslim youths in the Gwaltoli area, who attempted to harm Bhavesh.
Fortunately, the quick thinking of the two students allowed them to escape on a scooter. However, the mob relentlessly pursued them and eventually caught up near the Bal Vinay Mandir School.
During this harrowing ordeal, some brave individuals came forward to rescue the young couple. Tragically, the attackers resorted to wielding knives, resulting in two Hindu youths named Himanshu Patel and Yash Joshi sustaining serious injuries. Several others were also hurt during the attack.
Indore Mob Attack: Police Register Two Cases, Identify Six Accused; Manhunt Underway for Remaining Assailants
Rajesh Raghuvanshi, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) in Indore, has confirmed that two separate cases have been registered at the Tukoganj and Gwaltoli police stations, addressing different aspects of this incident.
The police have identified six individuals named Shoaib, Shavez Lala, Muzzamin, Amin Lala, Saif, and Arbaaz as the accused in the FIR. However, there are still several other assailants who remain unidentified, and efforts are underway to bring them to justice. The authorities are committed to a thorough investigation to ensure all those responsible for this reprehensible act are held accountable.
